L’inconnue de la Seine is a death mask of an unknown girl, who in 1880 was found in the Seine. Most probable cause of death: suicide. She was never identified. Impressed by her beauty, the pathologist made a wax mask of her face, that would later be seen as the beauty standard of her time. In the 50′s-60′s, her face was used for the creation of Resusci Anne - the very first reanimation doll.

Ramesses V probably died of smallpox, judging on the lesions found on the mummy's face. He is thought to be one of the earliest known smallpox-victims.
